| Glentrool visitor centre car park to Glenhead Burn | Wide single track following alongside the water of trool river. A brief section on the road through an old disused camp site then back onto gravel single track following alongside Loch Trool. One short un-rideable section up a set of around 10 steps which would be tricky with a trailer but not impossible. Once you reach Glenhead burn you follow a short section of singletrack along the South side of the burn. | Green – Red |
| Glenhead burn to A712 | Gravel fire track the whole way with a couple of long climbs requiring a decent level of fitness. There is a bothy at Loch Dee called White Laggan bothy which has just been refurbished. | Green – Red |
| A712 to Kirroughtree visitor centre car park | Short section along the road before joining back onto fire track. Fairly steep and loose for a couple of short sections. On fire track and road all the way to the car park. A couple of gates to go through but they are big and easy to use. | Green – Red |
| Kirroughtree visitor centre car park to Graddoch burn (Muirfad). | All on tarmac on a quite road. | Blue |
| Graddoch burn (Muirfad) to Old military road into Creetown. | Part of the national 7 cycle route. Tarmac single track with a couple of easy gates along the way. | Green |
| Old military road to the big water of fleet viaduct. | Follows the main road into Creetown where there is shops and pubs for food and supplies. Still following the national 7 cycle route head out of Creetown towards the cairnsmore of fleet national nature reserve. This is along a very quiet tarmac road all the way to the big water of fleet viaduct. | Green |
| Big water of fleet viaduct to A762 Mossdale. | Gravel fire track until you get to a point where you can join onto the old railway again. This is quite remote, is boggy and wet in places but is all just about rideable. Probably not much fun with a trailer (but still do able) so you could follow an alternate fire track route around the other side of Loch Skerrow. Once you reach the A762 there is a small shop with basic supplies at Mossdale. | Green - Red |
| A762 Mossdale to Glenlochar. | All on the road due to the Loch Ken viaduct being closed for the foreseeable future. A fairly busy road until you can take the turn off and follow the quieter road past the Ken-Dee marshes reserve. |

| Glenlochar to Castle Douglas. | From Glenlochar follow the B795 to the townhead of greenlaw. Then follow the A713 into Castle Douglas, this is a busy road but there is a pavement you can follow all the way. | Green |
| Castle Douglas to Dalbeattie 7 stanes car park. | On your way through Castle Douglas there is a variety of shops, pubs, bike shops and places to eat. Most of this route is on very quiet country roads with a small part of it on a disused road with a couple of big gates either end. The last bit into and through Dalbeattie is on busy roads. Once in Dalbeattie there are again a selection of shops, pubs and a bike shop. | Green |

| B793 to the A711 | After the fire track there is There is some stepping stones to navigate by Bargrug farms fishing pond and a fence to climb over. Then there is a grassy double track which can get quite overgrown in places. | Green |
| Kirkgunzeon A711 to Beeswing | Some track and some quiet roads, except for a few hundred yards on the A711. | Blue |
| Beeswing to A711 | Another old section of railway that goes through farm land. In places this is quite overgrown and there was a section of around 100 metres that that you may have to push. | Green |

| Garroch Business park to Maxwelltown railway path | A great section of tarmacked railway to blast along, with a descent down steps at the end | Blue |
| Maxwelltown railway path to A75 bridge. | This follows Burns’ Walk which is a nice section of singletrack. It does have a couple of sections with roots and some small sets of stairs. These should be rideable with a trailer as they had smoother lines to the side of them. | Green |
| A75 bridge to River Nith | In places it is quite overgrown making riding difficult. There are quite a few gates along the way as well. Some single track and some wider tracks | Green |
